Instant Records is a record label founded by legendary producer, songwriter and record executive Richard Gottehrer. The label borrows its name from Gottehrer’s original production company he formed after founding Sire Records with Seymour Stein, under which he produced artists such as Blondie, Richard Hell, The Go-Go's, Joan Armatrading and many others. More recently produced artists include The Raveonettes and Dum Dum Girls.
Staying true to the company’s original vision of empowering independent artists in music, Instant Records focuses on bringing innovative recording artists to the forefront of the music scene. Gottehrer revitalized the label in 2013 with releases by the Brooklyn-based synth-pop trio Au Revoir Simone, Los Angeles alt rocker Queen Kwong, and Detroit rock'n'soul powerhouse Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas. Recent additions include new releases by Swedish rock duo Pale Honey, living legend Dion, and double-platinum Danish pop artist Fallulah.
