Since I was a child I have loved all the different styles of singer and singing. My first recollection of singing was at my grandmothers house where my Aunt would play her selection of records. Her house was a place I could sing along to artists as diverse as Neil Sedaka, Blondie and The Carpenters. We would also have great fun dancing to the disco classics of ABBA and The Bee Gees.
My family are very musical in general and I am surrounded by uncles, aunts, and cousins who can either sing or play an instrument really well.
My uncle Gerry, who has also taught me piano for a number of years, has done everything possible to help me succeed as have my voice teachers Mary Fulham and now my wonderful vocal coach Olive Cowper, who totally inspires me. Also the fantastic Fiachra Trench, a wonderful man.
There are so many people who have put their hearts and souls into helping me in any way they can. I couldnt possibly mention them all. Thank you all so much!
Love, Carmel
