A Christian mind should be both Charismatic and Intellectual. An individual should eagerly seek the truth and grow in his faith likewise. The scripture demands a testable faith (Isa. 1:18; 1 Peter 3:15) while affirming experiencing an intimate relationship with God (Ps. 34:8). We should eagerly seek spiritual experiences (1 Cor. 14:1) but at the same time examine everything whether or not our encounters are scripture based (1 Thes. 5:21).
From a Pentecostal perspective, we affirm God’s active participation even today such as his personal communication and revelation in our life but at the same time we don’t blindly lean towards our personal stance rather measure them with the scripture. We don’t just give emphasize to spiritual gifts but also let ourselves explore whether our faith is genuine to be believed and trusted.
