Passionate about art, Sophie Bruguière founded Jeux de Dames in 2015. The association, based in Fontainebleau, now counts 140 female artists.
The association Les Jeux de Dames continues to highlight female artists from the Fontainebleau region (Seine-et-Marne). Originally, the aim was to create a significant event around International Women's Day on March 8th: it was a political act, aiming to provide them with a space for expression. The idea was to offer them the opportunity to exhibit in the shop windows of Fontainebleau, thus spreading art throughout the city. About 70 merchants immediately embraced the project, along with 80 artists and craftsmen who participated. The initiative continues to grow today.
