Cam Carrithers is a video director/producer/editor based in Chapel Hill, NC. He has produced projects for washingtonpost.com, rollingstone.com, Merge Records, MTV, ABC, and a Fulbright-sponsored documentary in Grahamstown, South Africa, and others. He teaches video production throughout his community and in 2011 he was an instructor at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.
Cam also works as a still photographer for various publications and does photography post production. His photographs have appeared in publications including washingtonpost.com. USA Today, The Associated Press, Transworld Snowboarding Magazine, UNC Global, and Carolina Alumni Review Magazine, and others.
He graduated with a BA from the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication and he received an AA from Colorado Mountain College. His career began after a picture editing internship at National Geographic Adventure. In 2013, Cam won first place in the Carolina Global Center Photography Exhibit.
