At Fondes Amandes Community Re-Forestation Project (FACRP), we’ve spent over 40 years turning that idea into action. Based in Trinidad & Tobago, we help communities overcome land degradation, frequent bush & forest fires, and environmental decline by leading reforestation, education, and sustainable livelihood programmes.
Our partners face 3 big challenges:
Bushfires destroy progress every dry season.
Reforestation initiatives lack long-term local engagement and follow-through.
Eco-friendly income opportunities are limited or unknown.
We tackle each by training community fire guardians, managing our clean trees organic nursery to facilitate tree planting that protects watersheds, and building green economies from the ground up.
