Mountainside Homestead with Ken and Amy
Just a couple in their 50’s who had it with the corporate world and city living. We moved to the mountains of North Carolina to work together doing our own thing. We moved west to run an existing small mom and pop vacation cabin rental business.
We built our first chicken coop in 2019 with zero intentions of living a farm life but here we are!
Now there is hardly a day that passes where one of us doesn’t ask “When Was the Last Time?" We are learning everyday what in takes to homestead on the top of our mountain with almost no flat land and very little pasture to speak of.
This mountain has been transforming since Helene into a homesteading community with people who want to learn this way of life.
