So, this "thing" came in, a Martin CEO-9 Curly Mango with a 00-14 body, seemingly wider string spacing and a broad funky v neck profile. At first blush it felt gawky and sounded odd with a constipated tone.
Then it got a good setup.
All I can say is, Martin, you make FANTASTIC instruments. Not only is it gorgeous to look at (a piece of art really) but it plays like butter and has a beautiful mid-focused tone with sweet highs and subtle lows. Just brilliant.

Anyone else a Martin fan?

Tokai Love Rock Les Paul copy. Many years ago, I used to deal these bad-boys out of my shop - this would have been around the mid-2000s or so. Not necessarily as detailed as the earlier versions from the 80's but still killer instruments for the money.
Anyone familiar with them?
