modern problems require modern solutions

working on getting ready for school so mostly just been doing whatever
just need to make the thumb mechanism (not easy with this little space) and attack everything to the wrist

made this really cool finger mechanism (explanation in later images)

2) (red = stationary) a mechanism like this allowed for rotational movement of the orange part without rotating it in space
3) if the green connecting beams are crossed over, it causes the orange to simultaneously rotate in the same direction when any green part is rotated (think of it as the other green part pulling on the end)
4) mulitple of these mechanisms can be chained together to create multiple joints all driven by the base
5) in blender, IK is used from the vertical orange/yellow parts through one of the green parts to the base to avoid dependency loops

still working on the 5 pebbsi model, just planning and getting more inspiration
trying to move away from pistons everywhere and instead add wires and circuit boards

also get Dyson Sphere Program when it was on sale, to complete the trifecta of automation games (Factorio, Satisfactory, DSP) ive completed all but DSP and am almost done

just wrote some of the cleanest code ive ever written to solve a multiple constraints thing that blender couldnt figure out
it turns out constraints are applied one after another and previous ones are ignored when applying next ones, so i found the mathematically perfect solution
there are 4 different coordinate systems that the moving part are in and now my head hurts BUT IT WORKS
second photo is 5p shooting the blender constraints system bc its stupid (model is Plas-1 from Helldivers 2)
