I have some unfortunate news -- I won't be able to do livestreams for now. This is a drag for me because it's really nice to get to connect with you live and in the moment, and we had some fun events planned, but hopefully this won't be for long.
However, I have a good backlog of videos to edit and will still be able to produce pre-recorded shows. First up to say sorry for not being able to do a Sandlot movie night this week, I've got a fresh Fireside Fairy Tale, which will premiere tomorrow evening. Appropriately enough, it's also about people who are temporarily separated, though hopefully my hiatus from livestreams won't last as long as the separation between Niulang and Zhinü, the (literally) star-crossed lovers from ancient Chinese legend.

Producer Chloë has just discovered the Percy Jackson series and she can't put down her copy of The Lightning Thief. About every five minutes or so she checks on the eclipse but it doesn't seem as interesting as finding out if Percy will survive his first day at Camp Half-Blood.

What is YOUR favorite reference to Shakespeare in Star Trek? It could be from a TV episode or a movie. Join me tomorrow at 9 PM BST for a livestream in which I will read my own retelling of Book 9 of The Odyssey, sharing the portion of the story in which Odysseus has his run-in with Polyphemus the Cyclops. While I loved the puppeteering and action in Christopher Nolan's movie, I was quite frustrated with the poor rewrite of the story itself, so I want to share Homer's version with all of you. After I read the story to you all we can have a little chat about the film as well if you like. Here's the link!
