I ran my first 5k in September 2024. I ran my first 50 Mile ultra in September 2025.
I started strength training in 2023 because of a bike injury that tore my PCL.
Now I’m running, lifting and nutrition obsessed. If that sounds like your bag you’re in the right place!

Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows 🌈 but sometimes it gets pretty close!
February was tough and I spent most of it with flu, which meant very little training and not a lot of time to work (which I also love 🎵)
At first this felt like a huge spanner in the works and after making huge leaps with my strength and speed it well and truly stopped me in my tracks. 🛑
Coming back has been humbling. My nervous system is still recovering (6 weeks in) and I found running particularly tough (really high heart rate, crazy cramping and fatigue) 🤒
However, I’m now at a point where I’m ramping up the intensity on my runs and my heart rate baseline is nearly holding steady at where my original baseline was.
On reflection I was pushing REALLY hard and felt a little bit invincible. It wasn’t an injury that held me back but a virus I caught off of someone, somewhere. This felt like rotten luck at first. However, in my time not training and working I’ve spent more time researching nutrition, fatigue and just general health surrounding endurance events and running. I now value this time and feel grateful for the time I’ve had to adapt in prep for my comeback. I’m coming into it equipped with a better understanding of how to look after my body and in a weird way I feel grateful for the time and stillness to learn.
I think sometimes a reset is needed and it can show us the small things we can be grateful for.
Big ol’ ramble over! ✌️

If you know, you know. 📊 My Garmin status for February looks like a box of melted crayons.
• Grey: Detraining (aka the 'flu flu' phase)
• Purple: Strained (trying to come back too fast)
• Green: Finally back in the groove.
Progress isn't linear, but the consistency of showing back up is what counts.
How was your February? Did the winter bugs get you too, or are we hitting the ground running for March?

Everyone’s relationship with alcohol is different. I stopped drinking a year ago and have seen the benefits but that doesn’t mean it’s your path. Most important thing (in my opinion) is form your own relationship that aligns with your lifestyle and goals. If you like a drink, have a drink. If you don’t, don’t drink. Social pressure and guilt can play a huge part in how we decide to drink. So don’t feel pressured to drink when you don’t want to and if you wanna drink don’t let guilt creep in. #fitnessgoals #alchohol #nutrition #sober
