Hey everyone, I’m Jeff, aka SixbyFire, which is pronounced six-bee fire, after my fictional LEGO fire apparatus manufacturer.
I now have new (old) videos uploaded every two weeks on Wednesdays as I have begun digitizing and editing videos of fires (and some other incidents) I filmed in and around the Cleveland area in the early to mid 1990’s. Not all of these fires are big fires, but all the videos show locations and fire apparatus, and in some cases people, who are no longer with us, so I’m mainly uploading them all for the historical record as opposed to just posting the bigger fires.
I also explore and take photographs of various locations in and around the Cleveland area, such as abandoned and forgotten locations, old ghost signs painted on buildings, the Ohio & Erie Canal remnants, and other such places. I recently started shooting some videos of these locations and I plan on uploading more of that content in the near future.
I will also have dashcam videos posted on occasion.

I have a few smaller fire Shorts between now and when the next large fire is scheduled to be posted on December 3rd. This fire was the Abundant Life Church fire back on 8/9/1992 in what is now the City of New Franklin. Back then it was just Franklin Township. The address was 1030 West Nimisila Road, which was adjacent to the Manchester Cemetery, just west of Manchester Road/Route 93 in the far southern end of Summit County, sort of between Akron and Canton.
This video also features Copley Township's 1951 American LaFrance 85' aerial being set up and flowing water. This apparatus originally served Lakewood, Ohio and was purchased new by them for $31,537.00 back in 1951. Later, probably after Lakewood received new aerial apparatus, it was sold to Copley Township. Given the rig's age at the time this video was taken, I can't help but wonder if this was the last time it was set up and flowed water at a working fire?

Next Wednesday, September 24th, I'm releasing four videos all at once. All four were filmed by me the night of July 4th-5th, 1992, which turned out to be a very busy night for firefighters in Cleveland, Ohio. All four are in the Shorts format with the larger fire, also being released as a regular video.
Two weeks after this I have double release set up of two separate fires which happened on July 13th, 1992.
Stay tuned!

Wow, 500 subscribers only took me about 20 years haha. Thanks all!
After converting the first two VHS tapes and watching all the fires, some of them just aren't big enough or have enough video to make them full on videos. I think the smaller fires, many of which were well under control (or completely out) by the time I got there, I will make into the Shorts format. Larger fires will still be posted as regular Videos with a heavily edited accompanying Short for those who like that format. Regardless new uploads will still be every other Wednesday morning, whether it's a full Video or a Short, I will have something uploaded.
Thanks again, only have about 12 more VHS and Super VHS video tapes left to convert and edit!

Thank you to all my subscribers and anyone who has watched my old Cleveland fire videos from the 1990's. I am currently in the process of editing and uploading the fires/accidents from my second VHS tape. I have about 12 more VHS and Super VHS tapes to go after this one, so there is way more new (old) content to come!
That said, I'm starting an upload schedule. I will uploading new videos of old fires every two weeks on Wednesdays. With this upload schedule I should have all the videos from all my tapes posted within the next five years or so. I would have preferred a weekly upload schedule, but my two jobs make weekly editing and uploading difficult.
The next upload is another smaller house fire and it will be uploaded next Wednesday, March 12th. The video after that is a triple two (2-2-2) alarm fire that was on Cleveland's East Side, in an abandoned building at E. 116th and Kinsman. I have that edited and it will be uploaded on Wednesday, March 26th. There are still about a dozen more incidents on this second tape, including several other multiple alarm fires, one of which was in East Cleveland, along with a fire on Cleveland's West Side on Madison Avenue where a dog and several cats were rescued by firefighters.
