I have a few smaller fire Shorts between now and when the next large fire is scheduled to be posted on December 3rd. This fire was the Abundant Life Church fire back on 8/9/1992 in what is now the City of New Franklin. Back then it was just Franklin Township. The address was 1030 West Nimisila Road, which was adjacent to the Manchester Cemetery, just west of Manchester Road/Route 93 in the far southern end of Summit County, sort of between Akron and Canton. This video also features Copley Township's 1951 American LaFrance 85' aerial being set up and flowing water. This apparatus originally served Lakewood, Ohio and was purchased new by them for $31,537.00 back in 1951. Later, probably after Lakewood received new aerial apparatus, it was sold to Copley Township. Given the rig's age at the time this video was taken, I can't help but wonder if this was the last time it was set up and flowed water at a working fire?
