The Socio-Environmental Fund of Peru is a non-profit non-governmental organization, created in January 2019 and arises thanks to the impulse of the Fondo del Sur group organized by the initiative to replicate the management model of the Casa Fund in Brazil of financing and providing support to small projects of base communities in several South American countries, but with the nuance of independence and structured autonomy in each South American country, and with the purpose of making it more efficient and effective through direct fund-raising, avoiding administrative expenses , as well as bureaucratic procedures that involve the transfer of funds from one geopolitical border to another. In addition to the proximity to the needs of vulnerable, excluded and invisible populations in the country itself, it makes it possible to act quickly to put resources in the hands of these social groups.
