LEENALCHI
LEENALCHI is a genre-defying seven-piece band made up of four vocalists, two bassists, and a drummer. Since forming in 2019, they’ve gained widespread recognition through high-profile collaborations with brands and in advertising, thanks to their distinctive sound—a bold fusion of bass-driven, new wave influences, and unique vocal stylings inspired by traditional Korean pansori.
Their music is both unfamiliar and instantly infectious—unexpected yet danceable, experimental yet accessible. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, LEENALCHI drew significant attention at Korean music festivals and headline shows, and quickly built a global following with appearances at major festivals and venues across Europe, Japan, Australia, and Hong Kong.
LEENALCHI’s international festival appearances include Clockenflap, WOMAD, Roskilde Festival, and Pohoda. They’ve also contributed to several television soundtracks, most recently composing Bird for the series Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born.
