Previously, my Arrma Vor-Cast Stunt truck achieved 48mph on 4s with a 2900kv 3665 Motor using a 12 tooth Pinion Gear.

I have now fitted a 2650kv 3670 Motor and 14 tooth pinion gear.

How fast do you think it will go?

Well, that brings an end to any hopes of RC 'Speed Running' at my usual location. They added Speed Bumps ☹️
Spoiled by real cars drifting/racing around the industrial estate, leaving tyre skid marks everywhere and making a mess. Well done, Knobs!

WLtoys 124019 Update - I've been quiet on the videos this past week or two, but ve been working on getting this wltoys running again.

After the crash in the last video, the Xteam 3665 (4500kv) suffered a smashed Rotor.

I had a spare 3665 xteam motor, but 3800kv. So I swapped over the good Rotor into the 4500kv can.

I do have a more powerful XTeam 3674 motor, which will go in soon. I just felt like I had some unfinished business with the 3665, before switching it out.

The centre driveshaft got twisted and buckled in the crash when the motor seized, so that has been replaced. Along with a snapped CVD.

I've also made up a 3mm Carbon Fibre chassis plate to replace the tired and buckled aluminium plate.

Next task will be painting the new Body shell. Going for something a bit different, and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Oh, I also made an impulse buy after spotting a used bargain 🙈 completely unplanned, but I have a Carbon fibre Rlaarlo AK-917 coming soon.

HBX 16889 1/16 Speed Run Challenge Update

Here's a quick reminder of the Applicable Cars you can enter:

- FTX Tracer (truggy or MT), HBX Ravage (16889/a), HBX 16890/a, Blackzon Slyder, Redcat Volcano 16 (basically any re-brand that shares this exact same chassis).

RULES
-Up to 3 Cell LIPO Battery only (can be single or parallel)
-Must Use the stock body - the addition of wings or spoilers is allowed.
-Gears FREE
-Motor / ESC FREE
-Wheels/Tyres FREE
- Must be an uncut video, show 0 mph GPS at start, your top speed and battery used)

I decided to take the wltoys 124019 out on a very windy day, which turned out to be a bad idea.

4s Run at around 100mph and the car got swept up into the air, acrobatic flips over and crashed hard back onto the ground.

Bodyshell is pretty smashed up, it was already damaged and this is probably the final nail In The coffin.

Aluminium chassis plate got badly bent up, so id say that's scrap now too.

Finally it killed the Xteam 3665 motor, it had seized, so i took it apart and you can see the impact somehow shattered the magnets inside.

Time for a rebuild over winter, and come back stronger next year.

Edit: I did record it on video but the footage is over exposed and the road reflection of the sun makes it hard to see. So didn't even get good crash video haha!

Not been having much luck with the Wltoys lately. So i haven't really been able to test this new setup much and find out what it can do.

First, the bearings failed on the centre driveshaft, chewing up more gears in the process.

I got those replaced and then immediately crashed it on 4s at 130+mph on its first proper 4s pass.

It might be time to shelve the Wltoys and Big Rock, at least until I can find a better location to run.

After countless crashes around 60mph, I have to add some stability to this little 1/16 . Rear wing added. These Aliexpress foam tyres kinda suck too
