My name is Jade: a curious Chinese teacher who first started making Taishanese (台山話) contents to teach her cousin through podcasting. In this channel, I will share Taishanese learning material and short stories that I create, along with some personal stories of me growing up in Taishan.

In Taishan, I started broadcasting in middle school. Years later in college, I started podcasting again for fun. Today, you will find me hosting a little more than too many podcasts series, such as Learn Cantonese Daily, Learn Taishanese Daily, and Cantonese Diaspora.

All Taishanese Romanizations you see in this channel are based on Wu's Tonal System, a system I originally adopted from Cantonese Jyutping with slight changes. My goal is that not only will you enjoy these stories and the content I create, but also find them helpful to connect you to your loved ones who speak Taishanese.
