➤ The 1930s were landmarks of the Public Enemy Era, chronicling a turbulent and complex period in history. As the American people struggled through the Great Depression, they diverted their attention to the exploits of notorious outlaws ranging from John Dillinger to Pretty Boy Floyd and Bonnie and Clyde.
➤ The 1970s and 1980s were the pinnacle of a period known as the "Golden Age of the Serial Killer." These murderers and their monikers, such as The Night Stalker, The BTK (bind, torture, kill) Killer, The Butcher Baker, The Golden State Killer, and others, became part of the zeitgeist of the time. But so did advances in forensic science that contributed to their capture.
