Tenbûrxane is an international initiative dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Tenbûr. Founded by Cemîl Qoçgîrî and led with Eda Tanses, it focuses on passing on the traditional playing style of the Tenbûr, with an emphasis on supporting young people to carry on this musical legacy.
Through workshops, concerts, and instrument making, Tenbûrxane connects cultures worldwide to preserve this invaluable heritage.

Since 2022, we have organized a special Tenbûr concert series:

09.10.2022 - "Cemâl Cemâle" - Altes Pfandhaus, Cologne
24.09.2023 - "Being a Rosegarden" - Kurfürstliches Schloss Mainz
20.10.2024 - "Becoming the Path" - Tempodrom, Berlin
17.10.2025 - "Return to the Essence" - Cologne Philharmonic (FINALE)
The concert will be documented as part of a film project by Eda Tanses, preserving the Tenbûr's mysticism, mythology, and history for future generations.
