In October 2018, my brother Guito passed away at 51 from heart failure. A few months later I went in for a check up and despite appearing "normal" in my regular physical examination, I ended up with a quintuple bypass in December 2019.

I have since made it a personal mission to raise awareness on heart disease. My message is simple: if you are 19 or older and have history of heart disease in the family, go talk to your doctor.
