Born & raised in New Jersey, I started writing songs as a teenager, & then taught myself a variety of instruments: first guitar, then bass, and then I took up drums when I’d saved enough money to buy a drum set. Throughout my teens and twenties, I performed live with several bands in venues around the South Jersey / Philly area.

I then began running sound at gigs for my own bands, and soon, I was doing sound for other bands and festivals up and down the USA’s east coast. This is where I met my wife, maria (she was managing a touring band and hired me to be their sound guy - a role I held for the next decade). Now, we're partners, here, too!
