Soltara is a Shipibo-led, trauma-informed ayahuasca center on a mission to expand the definition of healing and help people become fully embodied working with the Amazonian plant medicine β before, during and after their retreat. We have retreats in Costa Rica and offer retreats that range from 5, 7 and 12-night experiences.
Why ayahuasca?
This plant-based psychedelic can serve as a powerful tool for healing and spiritual and emotional growth. With the right set and setting, ayahuasca can allow us to understand the true roots of fear and trauma.
Our approach
We aim to create a safe and supportive environment. We only work with highly experienced indigenous Shipibo healers from the Amazon. Our facilitation team also has combined decades of experience working with ayahuasca for thousands of guests. We brew our ayahuasca with only 2 plants found in the Amazon jungle β the ayahuasca vine and the chacruna leaf, which contains the powerful psychoactive DMT.

Some experiences have the power to shift the way we see ourselves and the world. Have you ever gone through something that changed you deeply?Β
Weβd love to hear your thoughts!

π± Cabbage Slaw with rice noodles, Pear & Tahini Cashew and lime Dressing π±
This vibrant, crunchy slaw is the perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and nutty flavors! Perfect as a side or a light meal and dieta friendly π₯ (portion it to your liking) makes 4-6 servings.
Ingredients:
3 cups of shredded white cabbage
2 cups of shredded red cabbage
1 grated carrot
1.5 cups of sliced red pepper
1/2 cup of sliced red onion
1/4 cup of fresh chopped cilantro
1 pear peeled and sliced thin
1 pack(16oz) of rice noodles (Pad Thai noodles)
First soak the noodles in cold water for 20 minutes to soften. Bring a pot of water to a boil then turn OFF the heat. Drain the noodles and add them to the hot water for about 3 minutes. Drain and rinse then add 1 tbsp of sesame oil to help them from sticking together. Set aside to cool.
Add all the other ingredients to a mixing bowl with a little salt and mix well then add in the noodles and the desired amount of the cashew dressing and enjoy!
Cashew Sesame Dressing:
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender or NutriBullet.
1/4 cup raw unsalted cashews(soaked in a cup of water for about 10-15 minutes to help soften - just enough water to cover the cashews)
(OR you can blend them from raw for a different texture)
1/4 cup of mandarin lime juice or regular lime juice
use the cashew water OR 1/4 cup of water
2 tbsp of toasted sesame seeds (OR 2 tbsp of tahini paste)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp of fresh chopped ginger
1 garlic clove (optional)
1 tbsp of honey(optional)
salt to taste
Instructions:
Add all slaw ingredients to a large mixing bowl with a pinch of salt and mix well.
Blend all dressing ingredients until smooth.
Toss the slaw with your desired amount of dressing and serve immediately.

β’ Lipstick Plant (Labio de Novia) β Opens the heart and supports emotional healing
β’ Brunfelsia (Chiric Sanango) β Removes energetic blockages and promotes spiritual clarity
β’ Cyperus (Piri-Piri) β Strengthens intuition and deepens spiritual connection
β’ Basil (Albahaca) β Purifies and restores balance
β’ Wild Tobacco (Mapacho) β Grounds and offers protection
Benefits of the Flower Bath:
β’ Clears stagnant or heavy energy
β’ Promotes emotional balance and relaxation
β’ Enhances spiritual receptivity and intuition
β’ Strengthens energetic protection
