No Clip is an Auckland-based creative group spanning music, film and design, established by Archie Porter and Nikodim Trashkov.
The duo’s approach to music-production is informed by a vast range of influences, combining genres such as jazz, electronic noise and industrial hip-hop into a cohesive - yet eclectic - sound palette. Fusing their passion for heavy beats with soft and harmonious melodies, No Clip’s music conjures a sense of both angst and exhilaration.
Furthering their collaborative approach, the duo’s visual style is treated with equal importance as their music. No Clip’s visual aesthetic is guided by a unique perspective on the digital-age. Surreal images of artificial intelligence, sensory overload, and technological disaster are combined with narratives of love, relationships and contemporary youth culture - creating a deliberately obscure sense of unease.
