저는 그동안 한국사 대중화와 바른 역사교육을 위한
순수한 열정으로 최선을 다해왔습니다
`역사는 지식이 아니라 의식이 중요하다`
제가 강의때마다 늘 강조하는 명언입니다.
역사는 단순히 지식을 습득하는게 중요한게 아니라
바른 역사관 또는 바른 역사의식 확립이
정말 중요합니다.
그리고 역사는 이미 흘러가 버린 과거의 유물이 아닙니다.
형태와 양상만 조금씩 다를 뿐 끊임없이 반복되면서
현재에도 큰 영향을 주고 있습니다.
따라서 역사 공부를 하는 진짜 목적은
과거의 사실로부터 교훈을 얻어 현재에 잘 투영하고 접목시켜
더 나은 행복한 미래를 설계하는 데 있습니다.
즉, 과거의 실패를 반복하지 않는데 있습니다.
