What if YouTube deleted the CC (closed captions) feature, just like they once removed Annotations?
If all the translated subtitles were lost forever again, it would be devastating.

I was aware that YouTube displays ads automatically, but when I was adding subtitles and saw the ads so blatantly shown—like in the image—it really frustrated me.
So I tried monetizing the channel, thinking that if I could enable monetization, I could choose to disable ads.
But it was already too late.
I was told that simply adding translations to someone else's content is not eligible for monetization.
I don't even want a single penny—I just want to get rid of the ads… It's disappointing.
