Trio Merak
Vibraphone, marimba, piano and over 40 percussion instruments sounds like an unusual combination for a trio - yet in 2019 we saw this unique sound palette as an opportunity to bring a breath of fresh air to the classical music scene. Right now, we’re focusing on the rich folk music of the Balkans. With our vast, almost orchestral sound, we aim to shed new light on this music, valuing and celebrating its deep traditions—much like Piazzolla did with the Argentinian Tango!
