As someone who’s never been a metrics girly, I have never weighed myself more than when I was on carnivore - the scale was climbing. I had never tracked calories either. Weighing & tracking were the antithesis of healing (for me). This took some recovery time & diligence. So here’s the formula ➗

1. Set calories in a safe zone (typically 1600-2000 for women depending on weight loss or maintenance)
2. Plan for 3/4-1:1 grams of protein per lb of ideal body weight, ie. 130 lb = 90-120g protein
3. Plan for 1/2 grams of fat per lb of ideal body weight, ie. 130 lb = 50-60g fat
*say you get 1k calories worth of protein & fat now you need 600-1000 more to fill the gap, provide energy & to help the body FEEL SAFE = 🔑
4. Now for the real part. Get support, seek a therapist, do the DEEPER work. Because no diet is created to heal a broken heart, repair a grief stricken body or wipe away trauma. This is the part most people run from.

You can toss all of this out and not give it a second thought, you have permission. The truth is that food is not foe and hunger is your friend. That narrative of yours tho? That could use some tweaking🍎

Once the brave leap out of food-fear happens, the real work can begin. Which begs the question - does staying fearful serve a purpose? For many I’d say it does. In that case, see my 🔗 in the bio.

I owe my YouTube channel a long form update on my explant recovery. I wanted to wait until my drains are out (although having them in isn’t stopping me from doing much)!

I’m day 4.5 post op and I want to shout from the roof-tops: if you have implants and you’re constantly searching for solutions to your systemic inflammation - STOP! The likelihood of your implants contributing to your: anxiety, brain fog, weight gain & blurry vision is so high. I didn’t need my doc to validate me to know this to be true for me.

I loved my body before implants. I loved my diet. I loved myself. Implants were wholly unnecessary and yet they’ve taught me so much about self love I would have NEVER KNOWN! It’s never not for nothing! 😜😂

No more:
Brain fog
Zapped (except I still have lots of resting to do)
Blurry vision

Not taking pain meds just antibiotics & arnica then I’ll start charcoal & serapeptase. The latter is for detox and to help break down the scar tissue (I’ll share more on that! Did some cool research).

I cannot wait to jog, lift weights and get back to yoga but I’m soaking this process. Lots of downloads 🌀🪽

Part 1. EXPLANT VLOG CAROUSEL: the next few posts will be devoted to getting a few things off my chest 🤭

I doused the house, pets, plants and fridge with all the fixings and submitted myself to anesthesia 💉😴

I wasn’t afraid of what life might be like without böôbs - I quite loved my life prior to it, what made me nervous was unraveling the years that led up to the decision & closing the chapter. Like, for good.

If breast implants aren’t about vanity then they’re about betrayal. I’m more than ok to admit, “this decision made me feel powerful at a time when I felt weak.” Yes there are other avenues, this is just the one I took. Thank god roadmaps can reroute.

I’m credentialed in self love 🪪❣️sometimes sideways decisions are opportunities to reinforce it.

If u or anyone u know needs some hand holding thru this ride - I’m here. Just as soon as this cup replenishes (and these drains…empty) ✊🏽💗🫶🏽🍒

Hi everyone! Things are shifting - I was vlogging from July - October my 3 month carnivore journey which rather unexpectedly lead me back to an abundant plant inclusive diet. The more objective I become (a tool I default to in life & work) the more perspective I get.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with any diet…until we create a subscription service out of it.

Food addiction is something I know intimately well and having committed to a 12 step ED program in my 20’s, I can tell you that in order to heal your relationship to food excluding any macronutrient does more harm than good - whether or not you need them for survival (speaking of carbs here). No one needs Kraft Mac n Cheese but many benefit from single ingredient fruit & starch.

Lastly / we all have a unique relationship to our bodies and food is the gateway. I’ll do my best to outline what I suggest you do to approach a balance of nutrients with fun food creations but please do not negate the importance of a spiritual program & therapy.
