OTRACE
The story of OTRACE begins in Rochester, N.Y…
the rapper was raised the second eldest of five children. The
oldest two of his mother’s children, both boys, grew up with the mindset of having to
make sure their three sisters were taken care of. To provide was imperative, and once
Trace’s oldest brother was struggling through legal troubles, he realized that he couldn’t
afford the same missteps. One thing that gave him a path to a way out…. Hip-Hop.
Growing up, he would often spend time around his uncles, all of whom recorded music.
His love for what they did motivated him. At the age of 12, OTRACE would lose his
father, and it was during this time that he picked up rapping as a therapeutic method of
expressing himself.
At 23, OTRACE took a gamble and moved to Florida. That move paid off, as he began
to increase his visibility by collaborating with other artists while also creating a network
that includes some important individuals in the industry,
