CATACLYSMIC - American Thrash Metal Band
Cataclysmic is an American thrash metal band from Oklahoma formed in 2012. Cataclysmic was formed in the Detroit, Michigan area in 2011 by guitarist and vocalist Brandon Jake and drummer Alex Matis originally using the name Kreature. After relocating to Oklahoma in 2012, they chose to rename the band to Cataclysmic for a fresh start in a new area. The two met in high school and shared a strong dedicated interest in thrash metal music. They began writing instrumental songs together, then eventually writing and singing lyrics, decided to create a full time band as a duo. The band quickly managed to increase their exposure and popularity by playing venues throughout Detroit during 2011. Cataclysmic's music approach is creating a very unique sound of progressive thrash metal.
