"The problem for many isn’t that God isn’t present in the church — it’s that we can’t see Him clearly because of what’s in our own eyes. Jesus said in Matthew 7:3–5, 'Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? ... First take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.'
Too often, people use the flaws of others in the church as an excuse to walk away, but Jesus never taught us to avoid the church because it’s full of imperfect people — He taught us to deal with our own hearts first. The Pharisees couldn’t receive Jesus not only because they didn’t like how He came, but because they were too busy judging everyone else to see how blind they were themselves. Their pride became a plank that blocked their vision of God.
And many today are in the same danger: criticizing the church while never confronting their own bitterness, hypocrisy, or self-righteousness. Yes, there are hypocrites in church — because it’s full of people in process. But the question is: What’s blocking your vision? What’s keeping you from loving, serving, and walking in community? Because it might not be the church that’s the problem. It might be the plank."

"Some people have stopped attending church or pulling away from fellowship, not because God told them to, but because they don’t like the package the message comes in. Just like the Pharisees rejected Jesus because He didn’t fit their expectations — born in a manger, raised in Nazareth, hanging out with tax collectors and sinners — many today reject the church because it doesn’t look like what they think it should.
But the danger is this: you might miss what God is doing because you’ve already decided who He can’t use to reach you. Hebrews 10:25 tells us, 'Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.' God calls us to community because it’s through the imperfect body of Christ that we grow, are challenged, and are shaped.
Remember, God has always used unlikely vessels — Moses with a stutter, David the shepherd, Paul the persecutor, and yes, even Jesus the carpenter from Nazareth. If you’re waiting for the perfect pastor, the perfect people, or the perfect church, you’re not really seeking God — you’re seeking comfort. And comfort has never been the criteria for truth. Don’t let offense or pride keep you from the very place where God wants to mature you."

"Some of you are in danger of missing God—not because He isn’t speaking, but because you don't like the way He’s choosing to speak. The Pharisees—men who knew the Scriptures inside and out—missed the very Messiah they claimed to be waiting for. Why? Because He didn’t come in the form they expected. He wasn’t wrapped in their traditions. He didn’t fit their religious mold. They let their pride, their status, and their assumptions blind them to the truth standing right in front of them. In the same way, some of you are rejecting truth, not because it's false, but because it’s coming from someone you’ve already decided God could never use. Don’t let your self-righteousness become the very thing that keeps you from recognizing God when He shows up."

Sunday September 8, 2024
I hear the Lord say, I will judge fornication in My house. I started with Pastors/Leaders in My house and now I will judge those on the pews. Some will come under discipline of God and some will come under the judgment of God.

Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for those trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your listless hands and your weak knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be healed.
14 Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness, for without it no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no one be like a bitter root springing up and causing trouble, and through him many become defiled. 16 And see to it that no one becomes an immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.
17 For you know that later when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no opportunity for repentance, although he sought the blessing with tears.
Hebrews 12:11-17

I hear the Lord say, "I am not pleased with the lack of love I see in my church." The pointing of the finger, the accusations, the judgmental attitude, the slandering tongue, and the verbal and emotional abuse of one another. You make excuses for mistreating people with the idea that they deserve it. Your pride and entitlement are a stench before me. I am nauseous over how you use people for gain and greed. You serve with the secret agenda to be seen. Your constant need for attention has led you to worship the admiration of others. You have placed yourself on the throne. You have become the judge, trial; sentencing or condemning those I died for. You sit on the throne so you could be worshipped above Me. Why do you ignore my voice when I tell you are doing wrong? Why do you say you love me and hate me with your life? You take any excuse to justify your sin and rebellion. You are lord of your life and not Me. You do not love nor fear Me. You are a lover of pleasure rather than a lover of God. You have taken advantage of my love and goodness. Do you think you can trample all over my courts, and I will continue to allow it? No! I am the righteous judge, and everyone will pay for the penalty of their wicked ways unless they are covered by the blood of my Son. Making a casual apology will not be enough. Provide now evidence of your repentance by turning from your wicked ways and walking in love. Your life should look like my son's life. Love, humility, and obedience should be the mark of your life. I don't expect perfection. I want to see love. These two commandments I give you Love me with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Love others as yourself. For this is what is most important to me.
Father God
