Refusing to be mere entertainers, the Los Angeles quartet relentlessly challenged, confronted and inspired their fans, leaping headfirst into the heart of darkness while other bands warbled about peace and love. Though they’ve had scores of imitators, there’s never been another band quite like them.

After weeks of fan votes and head-to-head matchups, “Riders on the Storm” has officially “broken through” to the top - taking the crown in The Ultimate Doors Bracket Contest. “Light My Fire” came in as the close runner-up, with “The End” securing third place.

Straight from The Doors’ archives - these are the original master tapes of LIVE IN BOSTON 1970.
On April 10th, 1970, The Doors played two sets at the Boston Arena. It was a wild, unpredictable night, with extended jams, Blues covers, and Morrison’s off-the-cuff storytelling. The second set ran long—so long that around 2 AM, the venue cut power to the stage, bringing the show to an abrupt end.
