Acclaimed by The New York Times for the 'richness of his harmony' the Ukrainian-born Canadian composer and conductor Eugene Astapov is a graduate of The Juilliard School and the former RBC Associate Composer/Conductor for Esprit Orchestra in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Astapov is the recipient of the 2019 Grand Prize of the SOCAN Foundation Awards for the work "Hear My Voice". He is an Assistant Professor of Composition at Western University in London, Canada, as well as an Instructor of Composition at The Royal Conservatory of Music.
