ElectroCat. Built by Hand. Powered by Solar.
We built our own DIY electric, solar-powered catamaran from scratch using foam core, fiberglass, and epoxy. What started as a hands-on project in a parking lot has become a fully functional, lightweight electric boat designed for real-world use.
On this channel, we share the full journey:
from hull construction and materials to electronics, batteries, solar systems, and propulsion.
The ElectroCat can be transported by hand, assembled on location and launched without a trailer or crane.
On this channel:
• DIY boat building (foam core, fiberglass, epoxy)
• Electric propulsion systems & thrusters
• Solar-powered off-grid boating
• Lightweight and modular design
• Real-world testing and upgrades
We use AQ1020 thrusters from APISQUEEN, combined with a custom-built battery system and solar charging setup.
From cruising to continuous improvements, we’re documenting everything.
