I get a week off before I start my summer lesson schedule and I cannot wait! I can survive! I hope anyone suffering from allergies is doing well, by the way...just had to check in on you guys. 😆

BAND-MAID SUNDAY:
- I watched my reaction to "Don't Let Me Down" last week and besides dying of my own cringiness, I like what I talked about, but I want to have to opportunity to redeem myself. I have learned more about the Maids. I have been taught be the Masters and Princesses of the community. I think it's time to do this one justice! Let's dive...DEEPER and DEEPER? 👉🏽👈🏽

SAISEIGA - "Strange Rain"
- I'm coming back to react to not only the music, but this will be the first time I will see who that band members are. I did "Illusion" a while back and I remember being reminded of the crazy idea of starting a metal yoga class back when I was earning my Yoga teacher certification. I can't wait to consume the audio and the visual!

Kaneko Ayano - "Lucky"
- A ‪@bigearjimlynch‬ suggestion! I am excited to take this suggestion because I am always ready to check out new artists. Also, shout to Jim for making sure I didn't die at the Hanabie concert.❣️

BAND-MAID, PRIME - Making of "Ready to Rock"
- Come on...You knew this one was coming, right? The video is absolutely insanely cool! The dancing. The colors. The EVERYTHING. I refuse to not check this out.

ANIME REACTIONS:

- There are love stories forming and my little band nerd heart can't take it! Band love is such a thing. My first boyfriend was a saxophone player and we dated from freshman year until my junior year of college. See? It's serious! I love that this show brings out the stories and experiences I had when I was in band. We are barely on ep. 9 right now so jump in and check it out for a fun time!
- Girls Band Cry
- The background music in this show is absolutely killer. You can miss it sometimes if you really listening to the dialogue, but once it wiggles it's way in, you're hooked. I relate to Nina the most. I have had my share of bullying growing up and man, does it suck. I see the pain she has and I can relate. What I love most about this though, is she's fighting through it. She recognizes her patterns and pushes through. I am here for that.

Later post that I would like, but I have a cool reason...I think!

As some of you know, each summer my brother and I go to the Texas Frightmare Convention since we are both horror lovers. Bruce Campbell is going to be there, so that means I have to do my best Ash Williams cosplay!

I was working on building a chainsaw "hand" all night, hence why this post is late! I promise to send pictures when I have the full cosplay done. Groovy...

- I'm not gonna lie to you. This was next in the cue, but I saw the KFC bucket and mask and had to check it out. I am all for weird and cool!

- This reaction might be REALLY long, but I am curious about the orchestral performance of "For the Love of God." We will be checking out the original, the orchestral performance, and the Unlucky Morpheus version!

BAND-MAID PRIME - "Youth" from the 2021 Okyuji "Day of Maid"
- I have heard this songs name so many times and yet I haven't heard it. Apparently it was only on the special release of "Unseen World." I can't wait to check it out!

-Currently reacted to up to episode 8 of season 1. I really like Sound! Euphonium and I am currently really enjoying it! It's so true to band it like, so if you want a look into the "band hall" with a former band kid now professional musician and teacher, check it out!

-Currently reacted to up to episode 2 of season 1. I took this suggestion on a whim and MAN, was it worth it! The art style is gorgeous. The comedy is gold. The feelings are SO real and relateable. If you haven't checked this one out, do so!

Junna - Through The Fire and Flames
- I love watching drummers do their craft. There's something about having to be in control of multiple sounds and techniques that makes me watch them like a hawk. With this reaction, I am excited to watch the powerhouse, Junna, play the song that I used to impress people with on guitar hero in the past. Ha!


仮BAND - 侍Groove
- Not gonna lie, I ran this through translate and it turned out to be "Kari (Temporary?) Band - Samurai Groove." I was told that I would be in for some jazz fusion which I'm ALWAYS here for. Some trivia I was given was they were known for being part of the Kami Band (Baby Metal) from 2014 to 2018!

- Since I just finished the Brand New Maid score here on Patreon, I wanted to explore some BM P content. BAND-MAID has been putting in the WORK lately for some shows lately, so why not see what antics they got up to!


ANIME REACTIONS!

I have been doing anime reactions on Patreon and have been enjoying the journey with those who are watching with me! Just in case you are interested, here are the shows we are currently watching:

- Sound! Euphonium
- I have so much to talk about in Sound! Euphonium as a former band kid. The show is pretty darn accurate when it comes to band culture and how we learn music. I've even decided to post a video of the marching band I work with during the school year so you can see what it's like.

- Girls Band Cry
- I just started this one and I am severely INVESTED! I love the animation style. It felt a little odd at first but MAN. It makes me feel like the show is...real? It's cute. It's funny. It's got great background music. I cannot wait for more!


I am hoping my new found energy lasts for the rest of the school year. I can feel the energy of the kids slowly draining away from work and I can see their dreams of summer. If they only knew that teachers dream of summer too...even though teachers work during the summer. 🫠

I hope if you are in an area where allergens are not killing you! I am having to take my allergy pills everday and take puffs of my emergency inhaler more often these days, but my garden is coming in and I am so excited for my flowers to bloom!

EXTREME - "Play With Me"
- I did an reaction to their song "He-Man Woman Hater" a few weeks ago and I was really surprised. Since my world view of them was tiny (*cough* More Than Words *cough) I thought it would be fun to dive in again with this one. It was also next on my suggestion list. 😅

SoHyang - "Everybody"
- It's hard to skip/avoid anything that has SoHyang's name on it. I knew I had to check it out since it was next in the list. I have been asked to react to her version of Whitney's "I Have Nothing." If you've seen my reaction to the last SoHyang on my Patreon account, there's a reason I am waiting. With my sinuses can take the crying. Ha!

BAND-MAID - "Before Yesterday"
- The journey continues through the Brand New Maid band score! I can see that we are close to the end of the line here and it makes me sad that even with taking a few days off, we are already at the end basically. It's okay though. That just means maybe we can check out some BM Prime stuff?

-Sound! Euphonium is up to episode 5 and man can I really relate to this show. I am loving every moment of it! It's a great show that is true to how band actually works.

Alright...

This is the last day off for a LONG TIME. I am actually probably recording as we speak.

I am entering the final stretch of the school year so I am trying to lead kids through solo contests and auditions. If they don't practice, that's on them!

My brother left yesterday and it was a bummer, but he will be back next month for the Texas Frightmare Convention in May. Given the fun everyone had hearing my brother's suggestions and seeing his reactions, there will definitely be more videos coming soon with him in them!

I am excited to go full speed ahead from here! I am reenergized from Marc, aka, "NittBro" being here and I am ready to tackle all reactions!
