SZVS Jain Samaj
Ours is a jain samaj. Jains are basically business oriented people with a great reputation in the society. We were recognized as a “Mahajan” of society. In 1934, few families from Zalawad district (see map) shifted to Ahmedabad for new businesses opportunities as well as for higher education and started growing and consequently they formed an organization called “Gnati Mandal” recently better known as ”Shri Zalawad Vishasrimali Sthanakvasi Jain Samaj”. Initially gnati mandal was conducting religious, social activities pertaining to manavrahat (Sadharmik Sahay) from the premises of Hon. Secretary. The organization has now grown from 62 families to 1265 families.
