Mez is an aspiring independent songwriter and rapper based in Australia. She started dabbling writing songs and poetry at age 7 and didn’t find her passion of rapping until age 25, as a way to understand herself and to find an escape.

She is inspired by the boom bap and soulful eras of hip hop noting The Roots, Erykah Badu, Aaliyah and independent icon such as Tech N9ne as strong influences. A dancer at heart, her performative nature is to tell everyday human stories.

With a focus on lyricism, a love of percussion and eclectic production, she aims to make others feel empowered and seen.
