It's Good Friday tomorrow (18th April 2025), so I would like to wish all my subscribers a very happy and peaceful Easter! In the run-up to the occasion, I have made a visit to one of my favourite ancient churches. Sadly, she never had the opportunity to meet him, but she was very happy for me to research and share his story with you. As regular viewers of the channel will recall, I visited the Godstone Sinkhole in Surrey, England some weeks ago. This had opened suddenly in the village's High Street on 17th February 2025. Now, in late March, I have returned to see what the current situation is. I found that the work at the site is ongoing, but there have been a number of important developments. A new video covering this second visit will, therefore, be available to view from 8pm GMT on Wednesday, 26th March 2025. Please take a look and leave me your comments.

My latest video will be available on my channel from 8 pm GMT on Sunday, 23rd March 2025. This time, I will be showing an item from my history collection and telling the story behind it. Dating from World War I, it comes from that extraordinary Christmas of 1914, when the conflict was still young and thousands of soldiers on both sides made an unofficial truce. For the British and Commonwealth forces, it was also memorable for another reason. If you live in Great Britain, you've probably seen the headlines about the sinkhole that opened up in the village of Godstone on Monday, 17th February. With the story still developing and road closures in place, investigations continue whilst many households remain evacuated and businesses struggle. Godstone is a beautiful and historic place that I have previously visited a number of times on my channel. So today, Tuesday 25th, I returned to see what was going on. I found a large part of the village centre closed off and a great deal of activity taking place. I've made a brief video, and it will be available on the channel from 9 pm GMT tonight. Wherever you are in the world, please take a look at this event, which has taken everyone by complete surprise.

My latest video will be something very special, as it tells the tragic story of the relative of one of my most supportive and loyal subscribers. Along with a colleague, the man concerned was sadly killed whilst serving with the Royal Air Force. My video combines a telling of their tale, along with a visit to their graves. One of the great things about history is that you never know what you might find or which direction your research will take you. In my latest video, I set out to locate the graves of three historic show business legends, who I believed to all be buried next to each other. However, the story took a bigger and unexpected turn!
