Hi, I'm Brian and welcome to Grit and Mortar. This is where the American businesses that were supposed to be gone by now finally get their story told. The hardware store, the grocery chain, the corner department store, the family name still up on the sign, the places every town used to have and most towns lost, except these ones never closed.
Every video is one business, one full story. How it started. What came for it. And the one decision that kept the lights on when the giant across the street took everybody else.
Thank you for 10 subscribers! Let's get to 50 next!
Subscribe and find out how the ones that are still standing pulled it off, and let me know in the comments which one is yours — the town, the corner, and how long it's been there.
