For, lo, the days come, saith Yehováh, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith Yehováh: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel,
and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them…
And I will plant them upon their land,
and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land
which I have given them, saith Yehováh thy Elohim.

A Rood Awakening!
Ya’akov leaves Beersheba and, on his way to Haran, experiences a decisive encounter: a dream of a ladder reaching heaven, with angels ascending and descending.
Yehovah reaffirms the covenant promises made to Avraham and Yitzhak—land, descendants, and protection. Ya’akov arrives at his relatives’ home and meets Rachel. Laban deceives him, giving Leah first and Rachel later, binding Ya’akov to years of hard labor. The rivalry between the sisters leads to the birth of eleven sons and a daughter.
Ya’akov prospers despite Laban’s schemes, for Yehovah’s hand is with him. Eventually, Ya’akov senses the time has come to return home, setting the stage for the conflicts and reconciliations that will follow.
