Disaster Ledger

The Disaster Ledger is a data documentary series about history's greatest disasters - shipwrecks, explosions, eruptions, engineering failures.

Every episode reconstructs one catastrophe minute by minute, built from official records, inquiry reports and archival sources: what was known, what was ignored, and what the numbers said before anyone listened. Every figure on screen is sourced. No speculation, no filler.

At the end of each episode the disaster is entered into the Ledger: lives lost, cost, warnings ignored, and a preventability grade. The running ranking lives in the pinned comment.

From the Edmund Fitzgerald to Halifax 1917 - the catastrophes the textbooks skip, told with the data they deserve.
