Don't scream AI heresy like it's witch-burning or Red Scare McCarthyism. AI doesn't build vision: it recombines through statistical patterns, without lived experience to direct from within. It betrays me even in translations when I don't watch closely It lacks the sensitivity to steer through ambiguous passages, where meaning becomes shading.
It's a powerful tool for shoestring budgets: the broke artist producing what would otherwise be impossible. But it must be grasped in its derivative nature, its lack of autonomous perspective. So why champion AI when I meet anti-AI crusaders who demonize it without understanding it, who don't know it's useful for certain things, devastating for others?
In creation that matters, where your identity is on the line, AI is a tired mule dragging you toward the flats , or a bolting horse shooting off spectacular, useless fireworks. It plants itself where it shouldn't, spills over, wrecks what you care about most. And you still don't know this?
