Physiotherapy has completed 65 years in India as a full-fledged medical profession, dating back to 1952 with the polio outbreak in Mumbai. It is gradually getting its due acceptance and importance as not just an alternative form of medicine but as a mainstream form of treatment that is holistic, effective, long-lasting, and safer compared to more “conventional” forms of treatment in numerous cases.
RVS College of Physiotherapy, an ISO 9001:2008 Certified institution, is in Sulur, Coimbatore, South India, with an exciting academic atmosphere. The college started its Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT) graduation program in 1993, affiliated with the TamilNadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, and is recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (Member of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy). In the 30 years of its existence, the college has taken a giant stride on all academic fronts, constantly upgrading its education and clinical skills.
