"Jamaica No Ja Makai" is a Jamaican-inspired anime concept featuring a full-color, 240-page manga that launched in Japan (May 2025) in Japanese, followed by its English manga and graphic novel release in Jamaica (June 2025).

The project is actively seeking studio partners for animation development and a publisher to continue its planned six-volume series.

Created by Jamaican content creator Ethan Campbell-Reid (aka Yaadman Etan) as Cultural Director, Vincentian filmmaker Tolga Akcayli as writer and producer, and Taalia Cespedes as Cultural Editor for female characters, this project fuses Caribbean storytelling with anime aesthetics — carving out a bold new space in the genre.
