Pondi: Detribalisation, Cultural Harmony Key to Sustainable Development
The Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Kestin Pondi, has said detribalisation and cultural harmony remain vital forces for growth, stability, and sustainable development across kingdoms in Delta State.
In a statement obtained by GbaramatuVoice, Chief Kestin Pondi, stressed that meaningful progress is achieved when ethnic boundaries are set aside and communities embrace unity and cooperation.
“The spirit of detribalisation and cultural harmony remains a vital force for growth, stability, and sustainable development across our kingdoms. When we rise above ethnic boundaries and embrace one another as partners in progress, our people prosper and our land flourishes. Ozoro Kingdom has once again demonstrated visionary leadership by upholding these values,” he said.
He described the Ozoro Kingdom as a model of visionary leadership for consistently promoting unity, mutual respect, and cultural harmony.
High Chief Pondi said the conferment of the chieftaincy title Owena of Ozoro Kingdom on him reflects trust and a shared destiny, noting that the honour goes beyond personal recognition and reinforces his commitment to service, peace, and inclusive development in Ozoro Kingdom and across Delta State.
He expressed appreciation to the Ozoro Kingdom, the Isoko nation, and his Tantita family for their support, stating that their collective vision continues to drive positive transformation in the Niger Delta region.
High Chief Pondi also extended goodwill to the people of Ozoro Kingdom and Delta State, wishing them peace, progress, and prosperity, while calling for sustained unity and purposeful leadership for the overall development of the state.

The Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) has honoured the Edo State Commissioner for Education and Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Nigeria Education Forum (NEF) 2025, Dr. Paddy Emmanuel Iyamu, with an Award of Excellence in Educational Impact.
The award was presented by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, who was represented at the ceremony held at the Abuja Continental Hotel during the NGF event.
Dr. Iyamu was celebrated for his exceptional contributions to the advancement of education in Edo State and for his leadership in shaping the national vision for educational transformation through the NEF 2025 Steering Committee.
According to the NGF, Senator Monday Okpebholo and Dr. Iyamu’s strategic reforms, commitment to teacher development, and passion for quality learning have set new benchmarks that continue to influence education policies at both state and national levels.
In his remarks, Dr. Iyamu expressed deep appreciation to the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and the Office of the Vice President for the honour. He described the recognition as an encouragement to further strengthen his commitment to sustainable educational excellence, in alignment with the SHINE Agenda of the Edo State Governor.
He dedicated the award to the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, as well as teachers, students, and education stakeholders, noting that every achievement recorded so far is a product of teamwork, collaboration, and shared vision.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the official resumption of the Warri–Itakpe Train Service (WITS) on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, following a temporary suspension.
According to the Corporation, the suspension was necessary to carry out critical repairs, maintenance, and system checks on the track and rolling stock to ensure passenger safety, comfort, and reliability.
The online booking portal will open at 12 noon on Monday, 27th October 2025, approximately 48 hours before the resumption. Passengers can secure tickets via nrc-fane.ng/ or at designated stations.
Operations will start with seven coaches, including six standard class and one business class. The train timetable, incorporating temporary speed restrictions (TSR) for safety and operational monitoring, will also be released on Monday.
The NRC apologized to passengers and stakeholders for any inconvenience caused during the suspension and thanked them for their patience and understanding.
Managing Director Dr. Kayode Opeifa assured the public of the NRC’s renewed commitment to safe, reliable, and efficient rail services as operations resume on the Warri–Itakpe line.
