Recently, my hubby, Oyama, and I were discussing how maturity is a choice.
Choosing to grow beyond our previous versions requires self-awareness and a willingness to change as God convicts our hearts.

The challenge is that growth can be hard and painful, so we tend to resist it, staying in our comfort zones and repeating old patterns.

But, I believe the pain of staying the same is even worse because we miss out on what God has for us, and our relationships suffer.

The question is, "Are we willing to keep surrendering to God's growth process?"
It's a daily choice to remain a work in progress.
