Avengers: World War Hulk Pitch Hulk is on his way to Earth for revenge! The Illuminati with Professor X, Shuri, Doctor Strange, Reed Richards, and maybe Captain America or a rebooted Tony hit Hulk’s spaceship with a missile, but it only offsets him slightly as he enters the atmosphere, knocking him into the Gulf of Mexico. He is found by Namor who gets a few good hits because Namor is insanely strong, but Hulk quickly defeats him with a big uppercut out of the water. (It would be funny if he said “Hulk Splash!”) Hulk makes his way to land and works his way towards New York. Shuri obviously knows who Namor is, and he joins the Illuminati. Maybe as Hulk walks onto the beach the military is waiting for him but he just walks up, not flinching. He continues, and maybe finds another squad up the highway— but he wipes away all the soldiers and couple tanks away with a single clap or maybe ground punch. As Hulk wanders through the forests of Tennessee, the Illuminati decide to send in two people— Reed sends in the Thing and Professor X chooses a new mutant he discovered. The Thing drops down from a plane and also does pretty well against the Hulk until he’s thrown into a boulder and even loses a couple rocks. “Hey, Bub!” The camera shows a brown glove, and after a second, claws pop out and the camera pans up the back of the person, revealing a yellow helmet. The camera flashes to the full view, revealing for the first time the MCU’s Wolverine in his brown and yellow with the cowl and everything. Don’t forget the iconic comic cover with Hulk’s reflection in his claws. Wolverine has a long fight, being the definitive Hulk vs Wolverine fight. Soon, Ben joins back in. But this shouldn’t even be a question, Hulk smashes both of them. Now the US government is involved and later other nations so it’s an actual world war. Hulk slowly levels up, fighting the entire Fantastic Four, Spider-Man joins in, maybe the X-Men, and finally the Illuminati, who call in everyone, bringing the Avengers together. After all of that, it’s time to fight Sentry. (And the Void) This fight is insane, both throwing buildings at each other, neither getting scratched. Hulk resists the power of the Void, but it also makes him angrier before both Hulk and Sentry are reverted to Bob and Bruce or something like that. I think this should be the end unlike in the comics where he turns into Hulk two more times. (As Hulk hits the Void, the Void buzzes red kind of like the shields in Dune 2021. The red contrasts the green Hulk and his radiation, but also gives a new, more comic-accurate design to the already amazing Void design. I think this would just be a fun CGI detail) I don't know what happens to Bruce or Hulk afterwards but I really don’t care. They’ll go from the good but bland Smart Hulk to World Breaker Hulk and I don’t know what they’ll do after. This will be the team up of phase 7, the beginning of the Mutant Saga. It can be “Avengers: World War Hulk” or even just “World War Hulk”. This is also the introduction to Wolverine before he joins the X-Men in X-Men 2 and maybe gets a spinoff movie or two. (Each phase will start with an X-Men film and end with an Avengers or other team up. SUPER FRAME did a great pitch for X-Men and I think it should be just like that but maybe with Mr. Sinister instead— as of now, Mr. Sinister probably will be the first X-Men villain.) #marvel#hulk#avengers#fantasticfour#spiderman#worldwarhulk#xmen
With Thunderbolts* (and Ironheart I guess) Marvel ended phase five. Phases don’t really have themes, but at least the first and third phase had prominent themes. And here’s what Phase 5 is about: Purpose. I guess it could potentially be argued for any movie or phase, but it goes with Phase 5 very well. (This is based on #NandoVMovies video about phase five)
Thunderbolts* — Yelena feels a void in her as she feels that she has no purpose in life. This is seen among every single Thunderbolt and I don’t think I need to explain it. That’s why we see Red Guardian as a Limo driver or Bucky as a politician. Without the team they find at the end, they’re just trying to find something that’s right for them. And this is supposed to be the finale of the phase, probably fitting the best out of any of these movies.
Ironheart — Riri wants to make something that’ll last. She knows she has greatness and wants to use her skills but she can’t fit in and everyone keeps rejecting her. But it’s clear that she’s gifted and destined for something more.
Daredevil: Born Again — After Foggy’s death, Matt quits Daredeviling and commits to being a lawyer, which he knows is less violent and for the better. Frank convinces him that the city needs Daredevil and he agrees, acting against Kingpin’s cause. Also after Foggy’s death, he starts to question God and doesn’t go to church anymore, feeling the same type of void as Yelena.
Captain America: Brave New World — The Leader is in prison and wants revenge, as it’s the only thing he can do. He uses his gifts to achieve his goal of ruining Ross. Ross wants to leave his legacy as president while covering up his secrets. Sam is of course the new Cap and must live up to it. This doesn’t fit as perfectly but it still has plenty of it in it.
Agatha All Along — Through many miles of tricks and trials, Agatha does what it takes to complete the Road for her powers for her son— also why she killed other witches. Her son was all that she really had. All of that just for her son to have a life. And all life comes with a purpose. Death has a natural purpose of claiming all lives and restoring natural order and Billy subconsciously created the road so he could get Tommy back.
Deadpool and Wolverine — Deadpool wants to move on to something greater like the Avengers while Wolverine is trying to find a new purpose after he let the X-Men down. Even in the void those characters don't really have any future.
Echo — Kind of a fever dream, but there was something with her doing it to find her place in life as a killer trained under Kingpin. Like in Thunderbolts but a lot worse. A lot.
Loki Season 2 — Sylvie tries to find a new life that she can live normally and happily. With all of the side characters they talk about their own lives left behind and the purpose of life itself. And of course for Loki, he has his glorious purpose in saving the collapsing universe tree, which is why Kang sent him on the mission in the first place.
The Marvels — Kamala becomes a more important hero, key to the plot with her bangle. Monica also becomes a hero, even sacrificing herself at the end so she can have an ending like her mom. That’s more purpose than Carol ever had. Carol is boring as usual but she wanted to stop Dar-Benn, still keeping Dar-Benn’s goal of saving Hala, why everyone hates her. (In-universe. In our universe we have even better reasons to hate the character)
Secret Invasion — Not canon, but ok I guess Fury is old and is the only one who can do the stuff and save the Skrulls or something.
Guardians 3 — The final ride for the team, ending with their split as they all go to find their own things that they’ve been striving for all along. They've cared for each other but now it’s time for themselves. This is definitely more about purpose than the other two Guardians films.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania — Scott and friends are now celebrities and have moved up in life, only for it to be thrown off its course again by Kang. There’s a full rebellion— literally about purpose, and Kang’s story is way too drawn out, but it's about his rise back to power so he can become the being he once was. His purpose. (Which didn’t exactly go anywhere 😉) #avengers#marvel#thunderbolts#fantasticfour#spiderman
Dominic looks great but… the scar should be in the middle! They’re going for book-accuracy and they need to make every possible difference from the movies. Seriously though, how hard is it?!
Recently, Chris Hemsworth uploaded a video about his time as Thor and the legacy of the character, thanking everyone. Considering Avengers: Doomsday is filming right now, many people think Thor will die in the movie and it will be the end for his character. But I think this is NOT the case, and Thor will likely survive Doomsday. Firstly, Thor 5 is confirmed, and will likely release between Avengers 5 and 6 if not after. Unless it’s some sort of prequel like they did after Black Widow died, how would this make sense? Plus, Chris has made comments about his time as Thor multiple times over the last few years— a couple times for Love and Thunder, I believe he made one last year; and how is this any different? Besides, if Thor DOES die in Doomsday, I don’t think Chris would make it so obvious.
If I had to write Thor’s future, I would have him survive both upcoming Avengers films and Thor 5. In Thor 5, whether it release before or after Avengers: Secret Wars, I think Thor should definitely fight Hercules. Two popular fan titles are “Thor: War of the Gods” or “Battle of the Gods” and both could work. “Thor vs Hercules” as a concept isn’t going to fill a full movie. So the main idea will be about the gods, continuing the big corner of the universe opened in Thor: Love and Thunder. As Zeus explained in that post credit scene, he wants humanity to fear the gods again. Thor, one of the humble gods, must stop the gods, continuing the ideology set up in Love and Thunder. (But actually good this time). And what comes after that? I think Thor 6 should be directed by the same director as 5, putting the franchise into three sets of two. (Thor and Thor: The Dark World have different directors, but you get the idea). In the film, any powerful Thor villain will attack Asgard or the equivalent like New Asgard— in the comics it’s Loki, but he isn’t exactly around. Thor simply doesn’t have the strength, but goes on a mission to obtain his ancestor’s magical powers. In the comics it is a bunch of weird tasks like blinding his second eye. No matter the tasks, Thor obtains the rune magic, becoming Rune King Thor— powerful enough to beat the villain easily, but he becomes so powerful that he ascends above our universe like Loki in Season 2. Whether it’s in Valhalla, some other place, or literally replacing Loki, Thor is now the most powerful being in the universe and won’t be around anymore. While he doesn’t die, this will be the end of the character, giving him a proper send off. He will always be there, but he won’t return. Thor: The Rune King will be the sixth movie and final appearance of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
