To our dearest Deep Dive Army friends and family,

We would like to wish each of you a wonderful, joy-filled, Christmas Day.

For we celebrate on this day, that remarkable moment about two thousand years ago when the Angels proclaimed good tidings of comfort and joy, for unto us was born, in the city of David, a child, the Prince of Peace. This world of ours is in as desperate of a need of peace as we have been in my lifetime. Our prayer is that each of you seeing this greetings are among those the Lord has blessed to be able to share the day with your family, friends, or loved ones.

But as is all too painfully clear, there will be millions of men, women, children who will not know peace this Christmas. There are soldiers on both sides of the line in the Russia/Ukraine War. Millions suffering under brutal war in many parts of the Middle East. And even in some of our own countries in the West, some of our citizens suffer great privation.

On this day, let us be incredibly grateful if we are able to enjoy the joy and peace of Christmas, let us remember those who are struggling in war zones, and to the extent it is within our capacity, extend kindness, mercy, and understanding to those we may consider an enemy, even if only for the one day. One never knows what may spring out of acts of understanding and kindness.

Count all your blessings... hug your loved ones.

We are grateful to you all, and look fwd to serving you in the new year.

danny & Gary

What in the world happened?
How did my little son - just a few yrs ago, it seems - is now a husband, and soon will graduate with a Master's degree in electrical engineering?!? I've seen many good, decent, and godly men and women who had wild kids that grew up to be really challenging, despite how amazing a job their parents tried to do in raising them. I can only attribute to God the unmerited and undeserved grace in that He has produced a young man of the moral and ethical quality William has turned into (and equal praise can be heaped on my youngest son, Nicholas).

I am thrilled also to see the quality young woman that is his bride, Isabella, and her parents as well. The wedding was as amazing as any i've ever witnessed. I know, from painful first hand experience, however, that a wedding and a marriage are two entirely different things. He and Isabella will experience their own hardships, tragedies, and difficult seasons (like all who have come before them), but the thing that gives them a great shot at successfully riding those seasons through is the character each has built over their young lives so far, and clinging to their relationship with Jesus Christ, obeying His word to the best of their ability. If they do that, they can face any trial that may come.

I am so grateful. 🙂

Hey guys. On Tuesday this week, we'll be showing a couple of encore shows that have been particularly popular with you, our viewers, from the past. I will be taking a rare mid-week day off to try and recharge my batteries.

I'm not going to lie, it takes a toll sometimes to keep reporting all these stories and claims made by so many proponents of war, whether in the Middle East or Europe. Gary and I provide context and analysis to many claims that seems increasingly to include significant disinformation or outright lying. The reason it troubles me so is not per se the immorality of knowingly lying to people, but that the consequence of these distortions is so very much innocent blood in both conflicts.

It grieves me to see so many images and videos of helpless people - moms, dads, teenagers, kids...babies - torn to pieces in this mad war consuming so much of the Middle East. It both grieves and angers me, likewise, when i see so many advocates of war supporting Ukraine, blindly, when that support will never change the outcome of the war, but the continued provisions will keep the war going longer - ensuring that yet more Ukrainian and Russian fighters will continuing fighting, killing, and dying.

It pains me to see such indifference in so many Western countries (especially mine) to such breathtaking levels of human suffering...

We'll continue to bring the truth to light, tho, bc we'll remain unintimidated and uncompromised on bringing you the truth beginning again on Wednesday. I'll spend some time in thought, try and relax my mind a bit, and lift no small number of prayers to Jesus to both end the pointless suffering of the many victims - and to bring to justice those who profit financially and/or politically on the blood and bones of those less powerful.

I did spend some nice time w my wife this past weekend walking through some nice areas of autumn in Virginia, including at Great Falls, just outside of Washington, DC. Thot i'd share some of the pic w you.

Had an unexpected delight last weekend. I had planned on going fishing with my youngest son (16 yrs old) to a certain offshoot of the Potomac River in northern Virginia, when at the last minute found out my eldest son also could make it. Had a terrific time together, and we actually caught a haul of catfish (and one small perch, lol), which we consumed that night for dinner, to the delight of all! I am blessed by the kindness of God to have sons of honor and character (and funny too)! Anyway, here's some of the lovely scenes from last Saturday:
