We would like to wish each of you a wonderful, joy-filled, Christmas Day.
For we celebrate on this day, that remarkable moment about two thousand years ago when the Angels proclaimed good tidings of comfort and joy, for unto us was born, in the city of David, a child, the Prince of Peace. This world of ours is in as desperate of a need of peace as we have been in my lifetime. Our prayer is that each of you seeing this greetings are among those the Lord has blessed to be able to share the day with your family, friends, or loved ones.
But as is all too painfully clear, there will be millions of men, women, children who will not know peace this Christmas. There are soldiers on both sides of the line in the Russia/Ukraine War. Millions suffering under brutal war in many parts of the Middle East. And even in some of our own countries in the West, some of our citizens suffer great privation.
On this day, let us be incredibly grateful if we are able to enjoy the joy and peace of Christmas, let us remember those who are struggling in war zones, and to the extent it is within our capacity, extend kindness, mercy, and understanding to those we may consider an enemy, even if only for the one day. One never knows what may spring out of acts of understanding and kindness.
Count all your blessings... hug your loved ones.
We are grateful to you all, and look fwd to serving you in the new year.
