Andrea Farri
Andrea Farri began work on Those About to Die after scoring Io Capitano (dir. Matteo Garrone), which earned Oscar and Golden Globe nominations and won Venice Film Festival prizes, including Best Director (Silver Lion), Best Young Actor, and Best Soundtrack (Soundtrack Stars Award). Farri has composed for nearly 70 films. His work on Those About to Die recalls his early TV success with Squadra antimafia – Palermo oggi. In 2013, La Repubblica named him one of Italy’s top composers. His awards include the Italian Golden Globe (Latin Lover, 2015), and David di Donatello and Nastri d’Argento nominations (Italian Race, 2017; The First King, 2019). Recent credits: Dior’s Le Château du Tarot (2021), Security (2021), The Hanging Sun (2022), and Netflix’s The Tearsmith (2024). Born in Rome to composer Pier Farri and actress Lucia Poli, he grew up touring with his mother and was introduced to cinema by his uncle Paolo Poli.
