Yasmine's Cooking Show

By 2030, 50% of Americans will be obese and the mission of this show is to inspire us all to have a joyful, fulfilled, and a healthier relationship with food.

Hi. I'm Yasmine Charles. I'm a culinary and nutrition educator, an author, a food writer, and a U.S. Navy veteran. My love for food started in my mother's tiny kitchen when I was a little girl in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Growing up, I was obsessed with culinary school commercials. In addition, food became an escape mechanism from trauma and rejection.

After high school and a failed attempt at Brooklyn College, I knew enrolling in culinary school was the next step. I graduated top of my class. I worked in a few restaurants before I enlisted. I studied food science nutrition at Norfolk State U and taught at a culinary school in VA Beach until the campus closed. And here we are.
This channel will focus on American, Caribbean, and Asian cuisine with an emphasis on nutrition, culture, fitness, and food history.

Bon appétit!!!
